Ring Side Gym Tournament
Adrenaline rushing through your body, shivers and excitement, a day before the big fight. The weigh in for the ring side tournament was held on the 27th of February 2020, it included a scale checkup, and a faceoff between the opponents.
Once your weight is checked and approved then you must face your opponent. Sharp stares pierce through the soul of your opponent, shaking their confidence and revealing their true weaknesses by just one look. That’s what determines who has more confidence and who is just wearing a mask.

Once you are done with the face off, you must state all your experiences, so it would be a fair fight.
Most of the people fighting were not of the same weight, either 1 to 3 kgs more, or less than their opponent.
The fighters were of all backgrounds, experiences, and ages. Starting from as young as 5 years old, with lots of attitude to bring to the table.
The competition officially started directly on the next day 28th of February 2020. For that you need lots of sleep and a healthy diet fueled up with energy.

Once you arrive, you are taken for a medical check up to determine wither your good to fight or not, and once your done, time seems to move so slow, heart rate goes up, and doubts start to hit your mind every once and a while. However, what determines wither you got what it takes or not. Is wither you decide to show up or just chicken out.
A couple of fighters did not show up, for mysterious reasons, however their opponents were able to find a quick match with the other fighters in the field.
And as time moves slowly, you notice what winning and what losing does to people if they don’t have the right attitude towards it. Your reaction determines how your going to feel after a win or a loss or even a tie.
The ones who lost specially of a younger age, were very upset, compared to older fighters, who were fine and just shook it off with a hug and a smile, and just moved on.

And once your turn starts to get closer, you are rubbed all over with Thai Oil, to prevent somehow a bit of sensation from your legs and arms when getting Hit or Hitting and kicking back.
Your coach prepares you with words of motivation and wisdom, while giving you advice on what to do.

Either sticking to basics and playing it clean and simple, or showing off with techniques that way and may not work for you, but there is a great chance of a knockout and a direct win.
Once your turn is finally up, your called out to the ring, having a feeling of pride, confidence, and nervousness all trapped within you and just waiting to burst out in action of fists, kicks, and movement.

The referee gives out the rules, wither it was Boxing or kickboxing, then your fight begins, You should put in mind that the fight is not against your opponent, but its far deeper than that. You are fighting because you were born to do so. The only person standing in your way, is yourself.
So a strong mentality is the key to confidence and focus within a ring. But once your stamina starts to go down. You either fight against it, or go with it, and not a lot of people have the tolerance to do that.
Wither you win or lose, or your fight gets stopped, there’s always a prize for both participants. The biggest prize though, would be walking out knowing that you faced someone, fought them with no fear stopping you. Once you’ve done that, you’ll feel like sky is the limit and potential is just waiting for you at every step you take, and every door you decide to go through.
